“Outrageous” – Australian football fans SLAM move to cut futsal funding

The Australian football community has been left despondent by Football Federation Australia (FFA)’s move to cut all funding for the Futsalroos in the 2017-18 financial year.

BAIN Media reported FFA sent a letter to players and staff notifying them of the cuts.

As a result, the team will not play this year’s AFF Futsal Championships and further, will not be able to qualify for the 2018 AFC Futsal Championship.

As a pathway, futsal has produced current and former Socceroos, including Celtic star Tom Rogic.

The decision was slammed on social media.
