Vital Football/York CityYork City Futsal 6 Liverpool Futsal 1A tenth successive victory leaves runaway leaders York City Futsal just a single-point away from confirming a second consecutive league title following their latest 6-1 triumph against Liverpool.
Fabinho Almeida, Daniel Pedras (2) and Joe Iggulden were each on the mark during a dominant first-half display from the defending champions, who were without the services of England international Robbie Bettson.
The ever-dangerous Pedras duly completed his hat-trick after the break and Ewan Minter finished the scoring following a solitary reply.
Portuguese playmaker Almeida served early notice of intent when volleying wide before giving his side the lead with his fifth goal of the campaign.
Fabinho Almeida set the Minstermen on the way to a tenth straight victorySkipper Pedras was then only denied by the goalkeeper, but still added a confident second goal after leaving three opponents trailing.
Dylan McAvoy was in turn thwarted by the sharp reactions of the visiting keeper, while calls for a foul on James Briars inside the area went unrewarded. The visitors next dragged a reply wide.
But Pedras suddenly lashed in an emphatic third goal for the title-favourites - and Iggulden added another ahead of the break, although there was still time for home keeper Philip Codd to save well.
His opposite number soon prevented further damage upon the restart, but then couldn't stop Pedras from bringing up his hat-trick through another clinical finish.
Earlier goalscorer Almeida went close to doubling his own tally on a couple of occasions, until the visitors finally reduced the deficit on the break.
Keeper Codd was unfortunately hurt following a collision just ahead of that goal and was replaced by Freddie Robinson, who immediately saved well.
York's England Under-19 international McAvoy was then frustrated at the other end, but Minter still added a sixth from good approach work before Iggulden curled a late effort against an upright.
