The Sangai ExpressSemifinal line-up of State level open Futsal tournament setIMPHAL, Jan 13: MAMMA FC, RFC, CFC and SAK have entered the semifinals of the 3rd Nilesh Wahengbam State level open futsal football tournament 2017.
MAMMA FC beat BFC, Sayang 1-0 today to enter the semifinal. Maru’s 15th minute goal against BFC at Sayang ground ensured a place for MAMMA FC in the semifinal.
In another match today, Champion FC thrashed UBC, Sayang by an overwhelming margin of 12 goals to nil.
Prem did the star turn as he struck seven goals while Bigyananda and Ben hit a brace each and Abung scored one in CFC’s win over UBC.
In the evening quarter final match, SAK downed NFC 5-4 on penalties to enter the semifinal.
The two teams were tied 1-1 at normal time. Tomba of SAK and Deepak of NFC scored a goal each. Penalty was resorted to in order to decide the winners. While four of SAK players found their target, only three of NFC players were successful in converting the penalty kick.
In another quarter final encounter, RFC, Khamnam Leirak blanked 9.30 AM, Yaiskul by a margin of one goal to nil. The winner for RFC was netted by Sushil.
MAMMA FC face RFC in the first semifinal match tomorrow at 1 pm while Champion FC and SAK lock horns in the second semifinal at 2 pm.

The Sangai ExpressState level open Futsal tournament SAK set summit clash with MAMMA FCIMPHAL, Jan 14: MAMMA FC, Sagolband and SAK, Ngakhapat entered the final of the 3rd Nilesh Wahengbam State level open futsal football tournament 2017.
The final match will be played tomorrow at 1 pm. Dr Ak Jhaljit, SP, Imphal East; Prof AK Manihar Singh; K Meghachandra Singh, Addl SP, IE; Dr W Imo Singh, MD, Subh Hospital and ARC, Lamphel and W Debraj Singh, Member, Ward No 10, IMC will attend the closing ceremony as the dignitaries.
In the first semifinal match today, MAMMA FC beat RFC, Khamnam Leirak 6-3 today.
Golmei and Maru grabbed a brace each while Phalguni and Sanatomba scored one goal each in MAMMA FC’s win.
Meiraba, Piyabung and Rakesh scored one goal each for RFC.
In the second semifinal match, Champion FC went down 1-6 fighting SAK, Ngakhapat as the latter rode on a treble by Tomba.
Jibason, Raju and Romi struck one each while Tomba hit a treble in SAK’s win. The consolation for CFC was scored by Bigyananda.
