Disappointment for City Futsal's goalscorer

York City Futsal's Robbie Bettson couldn't prevent Wales from winning the inaugural Futsal Home Nations tournament after a 6-2 victory over England in Cardiff.

Both sides approached the contest having registered comfortable victories against Scotland and Northern Ireland, with the English scoring an incredible twenty-five goals in the process.

The Welsh took an early lead through Simon Prangley's fierce drive into the far corner but Luke Ballinger soon forced an equaliser.

However, the hosts had already opened up a 3-1 advantage at the break after Prangley's second added to an earlier Chris Hugh finish.

Wales' Elliot Thomas then struck a brace following the restart - and though Max Kilman replied, England had Max Redha sent-off for a professional foul before Danny Hooper converted a late penalty.

Scotland easily defeated Northern Ireland 8-2 in the other game to finish third.
