Baneshwor stun leaders

Baneshwor Recreational Centre stunned Group ‘A’ leaders Kickoff Futsal to earn a crucial victory in the Red Bull National Futsal League on Thursday.

Skipper Mansajan Rajbhandari struck a hat-trick as Baneshwor shocked Kickoff 5-3 to reduce the gap with the leaders. Kickoff have 21 points from nine games with Baneshwor trailing them by two points having played the same number of matches. Bipu Lama also scored twice for Baneshwor whose goalkeeper Rajat Sharma was adjudged the man-of-the-match.

In a Group ‘B’ game, Tahachal Futsal hammered Kirtipur Futsal 11 -5 with man-of-the-match Sujit Budhathoki alone scoring six goals. Raj Shahi added two, while Bijay Shahi and Binaya Maharjan also added one each for the winners.

Yaman Maharjan scored a brace with John Maharjan, Apex Maharjan and Amir Tamang adding one each for Kirtipur.

Shankhamul currently lead the Group ‘B’ table with 22 points and Tahachal are behind them on 19 points with both sides playing nine games each. Kiritipur are languishing at the sixth spot with seven points.

Shankhamul maintain lead

Dinesh Rajbanshi struck twice as Shankhamul Futsal maintained their lead in the Red Bull National Futsal League on Friday.

In an away game, Shankhamul defeated Samakhushi Futsal 4-3 with former U-19 international Rajbanshi’s brace turning crucial. After the completion of 10 matches, Shankhamul lead the Group ‘B’ table with 25 points. They lead Tahachal Futsal, who have a game in hand, by six points.

Man-of-the-match Anish Shrestha and Nirmal Gurung also struck a goal each in the entertaining game. Sujan Maharjan, Shyam Nepal and Debchan Thapa replied for Samakhushi who are fourth in the table with 16 points from 10 games.

White Hourse Futsal climbed to Group ‘A’ second with a one-side 8-3 victory over Chaur Recreational Centre at their home. Manjil Maharjan completed a hat-trick for the winning side with man-of-the-match Manoj Prajapati also adding a brace. White Horse have 19 points from 10 games in the pool led by Kickoff who have 21 points from nine games.

Sankhamul, White Horse win

KATHMANDU, Nov 25: Sankhamul Futsal and White Horse Futsal registered wins on Friday in the Red Bull National Futsal League being held in the capital.

In an entertaining group B match, Sankhamul registered 4-3 win over home team Samakhusi Futsal. Dinesh Rajbanshi netted a brace for Sankhamul while Anish Shrestha and Nirmal Gurung notched one goal each. Likewise, Sujan Maharjan, Shyam Nepali and Devchan Thapa were on targets for Samakhusi Futsal. Sankhamul’s goalkeeper Anish Shrestha was declared the-man-of-the-match.

With the win, Sankhamul has climbed atop group B standings with 25 points from 10 matches while losing team Samakhusi is in fourth with 16 points.

Similarly in group A match, home team White Horse registered a thumping 8-3 win over Chaur Recreation Center. Manjil Maharjan completed a hat-trick for White Horse while Manoj Prajapati netted brace. Similarly, Sujit Prajapati, Rabi Silwal and Nitesh Maharjan notched one goal each for winning team. Rochak Gurung scored brace for Chaur while Sujit Gurung added another.

After the win, White Horse has jumped to the second place with 19 points.
