Flow Defeats Digicel and SLTU in Futsal Competition

November 18th, 2016

With the Corporate Warfare Futsal competition now in full swing, the superfast Flow team is proving, once again, that they are a force to be reckoned with after defeating two top teams in the tournament – Digicel and the St. Lucia Teachers Union.

Supporters of all three teams turned out in large numbers to see the two matches which were held on November 5th and 12th respectively at the Beausejour Indoor Facility.

Flow defeated St. Lucia Teachers Union 3-2, and Digicel went down 8 – 2 at the hands of the indomitable Boys in Blue.

The St. Lucia Teachers union and Digicel teams put on great performance. However the Flow posse, which is known for its determination and tenacity, successfully held off their opponents and by employing some deft ball skills and excellent team work, they were able to seal two important wins.

Flow now tops Group A with six points and a positive goal difference of plus 7. As a result of their two successive wins they will move on to the ‘Round of 16’ and face off against Tenderoni on Saturday, November 18.

Kissinger Anthony captains the Flow team which also comprises Anthony James, KenWin McPhee, Aaron Sylvester, Anthony Christopher, Kelab Jn. Baptiste, Shane Evans, Linton Camille, Johan Cools, Alex Rosemond, Troy Prospere, Tristan Pierre, Jonathan Constantine and Shaquil Antoine.

“First and foremost, I would like to say how proud I am to lead such a talented team, all of whom played outstanding football to ensure we secured two impressive wins,” said Anthony. “As usual they worked hard and applied themselves throughout the matches. We knew we were coming up against strong teams and it took a lot of determination and team work to stay on top of our game. On behalf of the rest of the team, I wish to offer our heartfelt thanks to the fans and members of the Flow Family for their wonderful support,” he added.

Flow St. Lucia Marketing & Communications Executive, Shermalyn Sidonie-John said, “Three cheers to Team Flow! They have been playing exceptionally well and we are all very proud of each and every one of them. As a proud sponsor of this year’s Corporate Warfare Futsal competition Flow is happy to be part of an event that encourages team building amongst the players and camaraderie among the various corporate houses. We wish to commend Re Sports for organising the competition and encourage young and old, including families to come out and support the matches and the players.”
