Baneshwor defeated Chaur Recreational Centre 6-5. Baneshwor’s Sunil Tamang scored a brace, while Mansajan Rajabhandari, Dipu Lama, Adarsha Ghimire and Curfew Rasaili scored a goal each. Chaur’s Sudip Gurung netted a hat-trick, while Rabijan Shahi and Sanjog Maharjan scored a goal each. Similarly, Shankhamul beat Highway Futsal 5-0 riding on a brace from Sanjog Chamling Rai and a goal each from Dinesh Bansi, Suraj Maharjan and Sher Bahadur Thapa Magar.

My RepublicaImperial, Kumari triumphKATHMANDU - Imperial Futsal of Kausaltar and Kumari Futsal of Paknajol registered victories in the ongoing Red Bull National Futsal League in the capital on Tuesday.
Imperial overcame Naikap-based Adarsh Futsal 6-5 in a high scoring match at its home ground. Krishna Adhikari completed a hat-trick for the winning team while Sumeru Thapa netted twice and Bal Krishna KC added another goal. Samir Karki and Daniel Shrestha scored twice for Adarsh Futsal and Utsav Rana added another to narrow the margin, but they failed to salvage a draw. Krishna of the winning team was decalred the man-of-the-match.
Following the outcome, Imperial has seven points from five matches in Group A while Adarsh has just one point from as many matches played.
In another match, visiting team Kumari Futsal overcame the home team BG Brothers, Pepsi Cola 5-4. Avishek Rijal alone netted all five goals for the winning side and also won the man-of-the-match award. Akash Lama scored twice for BG Brothers while Prakash Thapa Magar and Rabi Tamang netted one each.
Kumari stands third in Group B with 10 points.
The league being held in home and away format features 16 teams which are divided into two groups. The winner will bag purse of Rs 1 million.
