Vital Football/York CityCity Futsal sign another internationalYork City Futsal have added further competition to their squad with the signing of Iranian international Mohammad Amiri from Hartlepool.
Amiri is set for an immediate debut this weekend in a specially arranged friendly against Leeds on Sunday afternoon, kick-off 5.00pm.
"He has been playing futsal since he was twelve years old and has been in Iran's youth national teams like U15 U16 U17 for four years," a club spokesperson told us. "He also got gold medal of World Cup U17 in 2012 in Croatia [Zagreb]."
The Minstermen are actually without a league game until next travelling to Loughborough Academy on 13th November.
City are current champions of FA National Futsal Super League Division Two but were recently displaced at the top of the table following victories for both Tranmere Rovers and Durham.
This weekend's two scheduled games witness Manchester v Derby and, in a big north-west derby, Liverpool v Tranmere.
