Portugal through to Futsal World Cup semi-finals

Portugal have qualified for the Futsal World Cup semi-finals after struggling past Azerbaijan last night.

Portugal struggled to beat their opponents, who contained six former Brazilian nationals, four of whom being granted Azerbaijan nationality shortly before the tournament.

With Portugal’s 3-2 win, they will now face Argentina in the semi-finals of the competition which is being held in Columbia.

The other semi-final will see Russia face Iran.
