FA National Futsal Super League Northern Division Two club York City Futsal have signed goalkeeper Phil Codd from Middlesbrough.

Codd has been the regular number one for the Teessiders since making his debut for them back in season 2012-13. That after originally beginning with their Under-18 side.

Earlier this week, York announced the captures of England duo Robbie Bettson and Dylan McAvoy. Bettson is a former England captain and also arrives from Middlesbrough, and McAvoy an Under-19 international.

Current champions York begin their title defence on Sunday against Manchester Futsal Club Academy - already defeated 8-4 at Durham in their opening fixture - in a 5.30pm kick-off at Trafford Park.
