Bahrain Futsal League: BD18,000 to be given away as futsal league prize money

The Organising Committee of the Fourth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League and the First League for People with Special Needs announced yesterday that a total amount of BD18,000 has been allocated as prize money for the event.

Assistant undersecretary for youth centers and organisations in the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs Dr Shaikh Saqer bin Salman Al Khalifa said that the awards and cash prizes will be given away during the league as a source of motivation for the players, referees and committees members.

He also announced that the Organising Committee allotted an award for best player in each game, starting from the round-of-16.

Contributing to the awards are Batelco, Majestic Cards and Mondial Sports.

Today marks the end of the round-of-16 matches in the tournament which is being organised by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.

Four matches will be held at the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation (BDSF) Hall in Isa Sports City.


Winners

The winners of the matches will move to the quarter-finals.

The first match will kick off at 5pm between Hamad Town and South Sehla. It will be followed by Safra facing Jurdab at 6pm.

Zallaq will face Hoora-Gudaibiya at 7pm, while the last match of the day will see Salmabad go up against Naim.
