Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centres Futsal League results

Manama, Aug. 26 (BNA): The matches for the Khalid bin Hamad People with Disabilities League, organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, continued yesterday with 3 matches in the Group 2 preliminaries, held at Riffa Club in the hall of the late Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Kahlifa, May God rest His Soul.

The matches resulted with Deaf team leading the group with 6 points, scoring 15 goals and receiving 2 goals, the Special Education team took second position with 3 points after one win and one loss, and finally, Hearing Impaired team bowed of the league after losing two matches, they managed to score 3 goals and received 12 goals.

The Deaf team defeated the Hearing Impaired team with a score of 10-2 goals, the goals for the Deaf team were scored by: Akbar Salman (7 goals), Hussain Habib, Younis Al Alawi, Hussain Mohamed and the goals Hearing Impaired team were scored by: Mohamed Maki and Sayed Mohamed Alawi.

The Deaf also defeated the Special Education team with a score of 5-0, the goals were scored by: Akbar Salman (hat-trick), Ahmed Abdulaziz and Mohamed Ali.

The Special Education team defeated the Hearing Impaired team with a score of 2-1, the goals of the winner were scored by Ahmed Al Shaikh, Mohamed Farhan and the goals for the losing team were scored by Mohamed Maki.

The semi-final matches have been arranged based on these results, where the Harakia Society team (leader of Group 1) will face the Special Education team (second lead of Group 2), the deaf team (leader of Group 2) will face the deaf society team (second lead of Group 1). The matches will begin next Tuesday at the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation's hall in Isa Sports City, near the Bahrain National Stadium.


HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad's support for youth and sports hailed

Mr. Moanes Al Mardi, president of the Bahrain Journalist Association and the Chief Editor of Al Bilad newspaper, stressed that the fourth Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal League and the first People with Disabilities League is one of the most prominent competitions in the Kingdom which witnesses a large participation from the youth.

He also stressed that this year has the participation of people with disabilities for the first time under the directives of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Athletics Association.

This came during Mr. AL Mardi's visit to the second day of the People with Disabilities League matches, where he met with the players, Mohamed Ismail, General Manager of Layalina Magazine, Omar Abdulaziz Bukamal, Director of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Media Office, Hamad Al Jaber, Director of the League and Mohamed Masha Allah, the head of marketing and promotion for the League.

Al Mardi said the league is a true investment in youth energies and a chance to discover football talents that could be utilized for the local and national teams.

Al Mardi said that he cherishes the effort of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in making possible the fourth Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal League and the first People with Disabilities League.

The BJA president added by saying: "This league organized by Ministry of Youth & Sports Affairs under the leadership of Mr. Hisham bin Mohamed Al Jowder, gives the opportinity to strengthen social relations and brotherhood between the youth center members which are filled with youth talented in football, and the game of futsal is becoming more popular in the Kingdom. The Khalid bin Hamad League is an opportunity to disover football talents that can be utilized in national team and national clubs."

Al Mardi went on to thank HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for sponsoring the league, noting that League reflects the care by His Highness towards the youth and sports sector.

Al Mardi also praised the directives by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to establish a league for people with disabilities, stressed that this humanitarian effort by His Highness goes in line with the directives of the wise leadership.


Shaikh Khalid thanked

Nabil Abdul Hussain, a person with disabilities praised His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his patronage to the League and the directives to launch People with Disabilities League under the slogan #meeting_of_generations, organized by the Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs

Nabil Abdul Hussain said that the league matches were fun and interesting in the preliminary round, stressing that the excitement will continue in the semi-finals and the final.

Nabil Abdul Hussain wished for His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to continue supporting people with disability category, especially since this year's league saw the participation from people with all types of disabilities.

Nabil Abdul Hussain expressed his happiness on his participation in the league and hopes for similar events in the future.



Deaf team member praises league

Hussain Habib, a player from the deaf team, expressed his joy on his participation in the first edition of the Khalid bin Hamad People with Disabilities League.
Hussain Habib spoke about his team qualifying to the semi-finals of the league and expressed his happiness with that result.
He pointed out that the main reason of his participation is to help them become league a success.
Habib hopes that the league will continue, especially since the league helps integrating people with disabilities within society.



Al Hadi's severe disabilities did not prevent him from participating

In spite of his severe disability, player Ayman Al Hadi was still able to participate and join his colleagues in the Deaf team.

Ayman Al Hadi, despite his inability to move well because of his disability, was determinate to join his team in the preliminary round.

The incident showcases the great determination displayed by people with disabilities who participate in various activities and events.


Nariman Al Saffar... People with Disabilities treatment specialist

The preliminary round of the first edition of the Khalid bin Hamad People with Disabilities League, included a physiotherapy specialist to treat People with Disabilities.

Specialist Nariman Al Saffar was present ever since the first match over the past two days. She is specialized in treating people with disabilities, and expressed her joy on participating in this event, which is organized under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Al Saffar delivered outstanding efforts in treating the injured players, which confirms her humanitarian mission towards people with disabilities.


Friendly atmosphere surrounding People with Disabilities League

A Friendly and brotherly atmosphere was felt around the games of the People with Disabilities League, being held as part of Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League. The players taking part of the event are characterised by their sense of humour and kindness combined with their spontaneous approach. The players were seen exchanging conversations among themselves and normal people with their own special language, and have been very keen to take group photos for remembrance. These flashes confirm the noble goals that HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa was keen to achieve, including integrating people with disabilities with the society and to create a tournament for people with disabilities.


Ismail: People with Disabilities League serves humanitarian and noble goals

Mr. Mohammed Ismail, the General Manager of Layalina Magazine, expressed his utmost pride and appreciation at the initiatives being launched by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, all which are meant to serve humanitarian causes and noble goals through sporting activities. This came during Mr. Ismail's visit to the late HH Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa Hall in Riffa Club to witness the matches of the 1st People with Disabilities League, where he met several of the participating players in the presence of Al Bilad Editor in Chief Mr. Moanes Al Mardi and Mr. Omar Bukamal, the Manager of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Media Office and Mr. Hamad Al Jaber, the League Manager.

Mr. Ismail thanked HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the extraordinary efforts HH is making towards serving the youth and sport sectors, which have contributed in developing them. "The initiative to launch to launch this league confirms HH's keenness to support people with disabilities and all segments of the society, especially youth and sport personnel and this reflected on the honourable results achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in various sport events," Mr. Ismail said, explaining further, "HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa is very keen to launch initiatives serving people with disabilities in translation of the instructions issued by the wise leadership of the Kingdom of Bahrain."

Mr. Ismail, also praised the Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League, confirming that this competition has become a prominent sporting event in the Kingdom's annual calendar owing to the large number of participating teams in the event which this year reached 32.


Al Nabhan: League confirms Khalid bin Hamad's support to people with disabilities.

President of Programmes and Activities in the Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities affirms that 1st People with Disabilities League, being held as part of Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League, means a lot to him on a personal level, stating that the directions of the wise leadership and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa were clear to support this segment of people in the society. He pointed that the event reflects HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa's keenness to support people with disabilities via holding events designed especially to accommodate them, and also developing and showcase their abilities

Bahrain Futsal: Harakia storm into semi-finals

HARAKIA Society and Bahrain Deaf Society entered the semi-finals of the fourth Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centre Futsal League and the League for People with Special Needs.

Harakia Society topped Group ‘A’ with six points after winning their first two matches.

In the first match, they scored a 4-1 win over Friendship Society for the Blind with Nabil Al Dosery scoring a hat-trick and Mohammed Al Buanain completing the tally.

Hamad Nabil scored for Friendship Society for the Blind.

Harakia beat Bahrain Deaf Society 3-2 in their second match with Mohammed Al Buanain scoring twice and Ahmed Al Hayki once while the Deaf Society’s goals were scored by Sayed Adnan Al Wadae.

The Deaf Society qualified after defeating the Friendship Society For the Blind 9-0.

Hassan Zubair scored four goals while Mahmoud Fardan netted twice.

Sayed Hassan Shaber, Sayed Adnan Al Wadae and Mohammed Jassim scored a goal each.

The Northern Governate governor Abdul-Hussain Al Asfoor said the Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League is a meeting place for youth from villages and cities.

President of Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation (BDSF) Shaikh Mohammed bin Duaij Al Khalifa praised the efforts of first deputy chairman of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and president of Bahrain Athletics Association Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in supporting sports programmes and activities for people with disabilities and integrating them into the Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centre Futsal League.


Special

The first edition of the People with Special Needs League, which is held as part of Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League, witnessed the participation of director of East Riffa Club Mohammed Al Buanain, who led Harakia team into the second round.

“I’m very happy to be able to help my team in this prestigious event,” he said, praising Shaikh Khalid’s initiative in organising this tournament for people with special needs.

Members of Bahrain Youth National Football Team, headed by manager Shaikh Khalid bin Salman Al Khalifa, were in the stands of the Late Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa Hall in Riffa Club to witness the opening day’s matches.

Meanwhile, representatives from the leading US-based media outlet CNN Arabic covered the first People with Disabilities League.

The news outlet’s journalists conducted several interviews with VIPs and senior officials.
