Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League to enter last 16 qualifications

Manama, Aug. 20 (BNA): The preliminary round is set to end tomorrow (Sunday) in Group 3 and Group 4 of the 4th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League and the First People with Disabilities League, with four matches taking place.

In the first game, Busaiteen Youth Center will play Isa Town Youth Center at 5:00pm, followed by the game between Al Wusta Youth Center and Abu Saiba Youth Center at 6:00pm as part of Group 3. In Group 4, Sanad Youth Center will challenge Al Buhair Youth Center at 7:00pm, while Karbabad Youth Center will meet Sanabis Youth Center at 8:00pm.

All the matches will be held at the late HH Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa Hall in Riffa Club. In the first match, Busaiteen Youth Center are eyeing for a victory and hoping for a gift from Sanad Youth Center to be among the last-16 round.

Busaiteen Youth Center have one point, and their opponents have no point under their belt, entering this match. Sanad Youth Center, on the other hand, will need to win if they are to continue their journey in the event.

They have three points and are the favourites against Al Buhair Youth Center who lost their matches and are already out from the tournament. Karbabad Youth Center, meanwhile, will try to continue their winning streak after collecting six points from two matches. Sanabis Youth Center have four points and a win will secure them a berth in the second round.

EDB joins futsal bronze sponsors

Manama, Aug. 21 (BNA): Bahrain Economic Development Board joins the bronze sponsors of Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khaifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth & Sport and President of Bahrain Athletics Association, praised the bronze sponsorship of Bahrain Economic Development Board to the fourth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League, the First People with Disabilities League, stating that this initiative confirms the Board’s support will contribute to the event’s success.

For his part, Khalid Al Rumaihi, the CEO of the Board, hailed the efforts of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in making the Futsal League a prominent event in the Kingdom’s annual sport calender, applauding His Highness's contributions to the sport and youth sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It’s worth noting that the Bahrain Economic Development Board has been a key player in supporting various kinds of events in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

"This sponsorship embodies the definition of collaboration between the public and private sectors in supporting youth and sport as this helps improving sports, including Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League, which is one of the events that provide a platform for the Bahraini youth to showcase their talents and abilities," Al Rumaihi said, affirming the Board’s keenness to make this event a success.

"The League has a prominent role in developing sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and this has been proved with its contributions in the past years," he explained, before hailing the work of the Organising Committee of the event.

Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League: Four teams qualify

Manama, Aug. 22 (BNA): Central Youth Center team and Abu Saiba Youth Center team from Group 3 have qualified and from Group 4, the qualifiers include Sanabis and Karbabad, to the second stages of the fourth Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal League and the First for People with Disabilities under the slogan #meeting_of_generations.

Central currently leads Group 3 with seven points, Abu Saiba takes second lead with 6 points, while Busaiteen and Isa Town teams bowed out of the League. In Group 4, Sanabis qualified in the lead and Karbabad as the second lead. In the Round of 16, Central will face Karbabad and Abu Saiba will face Sanabis.

The first match of the day had Central team facing Abu Saiba team, the match ending in favour of Central with a score of 4-2. The goals for Central team were scored by: Ahmed Abdul Rasool, Ebrahim Al Muqla, Abdullah Abdul Wahid, Mohamed Al Sakran, and the goals for Abu Saiba were scored by: Jaffan Al Banai and Abdullah Mahdi.

The second match between Isa Town and Busaiteen, ended in favor of the latter with 5 goals after Isa Town failed to attend.

Buhair team won in their battle against Sanad team with a score of 8-4 in the third match. The goals for Buhair team were scored by: Ahmed Al Khayat (4 goals), Omar Hassan (2 goals), Abdullah Banami and Ahmed Hussain. While the goals for Sanad team were scored by: Ali Abdul Hussain (2 goals), Hassan Abdulaziz and Isa Hamad.

The fourth match had Sanabis team face steal the lead of Group 4 by defeating Karbabad with a score of 3-1. The goals for Sanabis team were scored by: Zuhair Ahmed, Ahmed Alawi, Abdullah Hussain and the goal for Karbabad was scored by Ali Abdul Ameer.
