Stage set for AFC Futsal Club Championship Thailand 2016 Draw

Bangkok: Twelve clubs will know their AFC Futsal Club Championship Thailand 2016 opponents when the official draw for the continental gatheting is held in the Thai capital on Saturday.

The clubs - Tasisat Daryaei FSC (Iran), Sanna Khanh HOA FC (Vietnam), Nafit Al-Wasat (Iraq), Nagoya Oceans (Japan), Al Mayadeen FC (Lebanon), Al Sadd SC (Qatar), Chonburi Bluewave (Thailand), Dalian Yuan Dynasty FC (China), FC Almalyk (Uzbekistan), Dibba Al Hissin SCC (UAE), Vic Vipers FC (Australia) and Taipower FC (Chinese Taipei) – will be divided into four groups.

The top eight clubs will be seeded based on the rankings of the previous edition, Iran 2015, while Thailand’s representatives, Chonburi Bluewave, as hosts will be the top seeds.

The seeding for the other clubs will be based on the country ranking principle.

The draws will be made from three pots as follows:

Pot 1:
Chonburi Bluewave, Tasisat Daryaei FSC, Sanna Khanh HOA FC, Nafit Al-Wasat

Pot 2:
Nagoya Oceans, Al Mayadeen FC, Al Sadd SC, Dalian Yuan Dynasty FC

Pot 3:
FC Almalyk, Dibba Al Hissin SCC, Vic Vipers FC, Taipower FC

The competition will be held from July 15 to 23.
