PFL launches first-ever social media campaign to showcase world’s best players in PFL All-Star Showcase

FRISCO, TX – The Professional Futsal League is giving players from around the world the chance to be featured in the PFL All-Star Showcase headlined by Falcão and Ricardinho.

The social media campaign #PFLNext is challenging players and fans to recreate six of the most iconic goals scored by Falcão and Ricardinho. Video submissions begin April 22, 2016. All videos must be submitted to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram using #PFLNext by May 16, 2016.

Ten participants will be selected for the chance to have an all-expenses-paid trip to the PFL All-Star Showcase to play for Team 12 Falcão or Team 10 Ricardinho. The match will be held August 4, 2016 at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

“Playing with two of the best players in the world is an incredible opportunity for athletes worldwide to showcase their skills to fans in the United States, worldwide media, and PFL owners in truly the most magical place on earth,” said Keith Tozer, PFL Commissioner. “This is a once in a lifetime experience for the players chosen to become teammates of either Falcão or Ricardinho and play alongside the most exciting futsal players on the planet.”

Timeline of Events

May 16: PFL will select the top 25 finalists based on creativity, number of iconic goals accomplished, and skills demonstrated.

May 23: Online fan voting begins on the top 25 finalists on professionalfutsal.com.

June 10: Ten PFL Next winners will be chosen based on ⅓ fan vote, ⅓ PFL vote, and ⅓ vote from Falcão and Ricardinho.

August 1: Ten PFL Next winners arrive at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

August 2: Training sessions will begin for PFL Next winners.

August 3: Falcão and Ricardinho select their PFL All-Star Showcase teams from the 10 finalists.

August 4: PFL All-Star Showcase
