Dynamo hold on to beat Polytech

The Moscow side put the ball back in Gazprom’s court in a two-horse race at the top of the Russian Championship with a 2-1 win over Polytech on Thursday night. Aleksandr Fukin got the ball rolling with a first-half opener and Nando put clear daylight between the two foes with a second goal midway through the game.

Katane threatened an unlikely Lazio comeback when halving Dynamo’s lead but it was not enough to have an impact on the outcome.
