Valletta overcame another hurdle in this campaign as they saw off Sliema Wanderers 8-0.

The latter took command of the proceedings and managed to score through a brace by Melvin Borg, Jovica Milijic, Xavier Saliba, Cristian Cuadros Silva, Liam Cachia, Jurgen Pace and Denis di Maio.
This win helped Valletta to preserve their unbeaten record and look forward for the clash against Lija Athletic next week.

Attacking duo George Frendo and Raphinha struck five goals each, Michel Melo Jose netted a brace while an own goal added the tally for the Spartans.

Handsome win for Msida, Lija maintain paceA goal scored by Herbert Spiteri in the dying seconds of the match gave the final victory for Msida St Joseph over Mdina Knights.
As the final 5-4 scoreline clearly shows, the Seasiders had to endure intense pressure from Mdina, who were inspired by Cleavon Portelli, but their opponents held on to take the most precious three points.
The never-say-die attitude of the Knights was fundamental as they always managed to level the matters everytime they were a goal down.
After closing a 2-1 advantage before half-time, Msida had to absorb their opponents’ continuous attacks as the encounter produced an electrifying finale.
Milan Balovic, Paulo Diones Mendes da Silva, Armando Gjepali, Noel Portelli and Herbert Spiteri were on target for Msida.
Mdina answered back with goals scored by Cleaven Portelli’s brace, Leo Muscat and Ryan Micallef.
On the other hand, Lija dominated their game against Qrendi from start to finish, winning it 6-1.
After installing a 3-0 advantage before the break, Lija continued to administer the result as they added three more goals that helped them register their fifth positive result of the season.
Nicola Del Re, Luke Stivala, Redeemer Borg, Darren Aitchinson, Chris Cardona and Ebrahim Massoudi were on the mark for the Athletic.
Alan Spiteri scored Qrendi’s consolation goal.
This evening, Valletta are expected to face a sterner test as they clash against Sliema in the late kick-off at the Corradino Pavilion.
On the other hand, Hamrun are favourites to gain the three points at stake as they face Sirens
Luxol maintain lead, Swieqi win againLuxol maintained their lead at the top of the Gatorade Futsal League standings following a convincing 13-0 victory over Zebbug Rangers to maintain their perfect record this season.
Zebbug only provided a good challenge in the early stages by defending boldly and resisting their opponents for 11 minutes. The St Andrews outfit then took command of play and opened the scoring on 12 minutes.
Brazilian playmaker Celino Alves was Luxol’s inspirational player as he hit a poker, Carl Azzopardi, Florin Anton, Mark Zammit and Glenn Bonello hit the target twice while Joseph Chetcuti scored an own goal.
Swieqi United obtained their second win on the run by outclassing Mqabba 7-2 to maintain their top six classification hopes alive.
They installed a six goal lead in 23 minutes through goals from Dylan Micallef, who hit a brace, Boicho Marev, Diego Gomes de Mello, Cristian Hurtado Sanchez and Gabor Balan.
Mqabba hit back from Steve Falzon but Swieqi re-established their advantage as De Mello completed his personal double.
On the half hour, Lydon Baldacchino scored Mqabba’s second consolation goal of the match.
