Eight Teams To Compete In Caribbean Qualifier Next Month

Eight teams will compete in the CFU (Caribbean Football Union) Futsal Qualifier next month at the Sala Polivalente Kid Chocolate in Havana, Cuba from 22-26 January 2016.

This is also the first time since 2004 that a preliminary Caribbean qualifying tournament is held.

The 2016 CFU Tournament is composed of two groups of four with Antigua & Barbuda, Guyana, Haiti and Trinidad & Tobago in Group 1, while Group 2 has Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Sint Maarteen and host, Cuba.

The two teams from the CFU Tournament will advance to the 2016 CONCACAF Futsal Championship. The CONCACAF event will double as the qualifier for the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Colombia.
