Azerbaijan’s AFFA protests to UEFA over player caricature

AFFA, Azerbaijan’s governing body for soccer, sent a letter of protest to UEFA over a caricature depicting a player of Azerbaijani national futsal team.

AFFA said on its website Sept. 23 that the caricature was placed on the accreditation certificates and the cover of a program prepared for a match between national futsal teams of Slovakia and Azerbaijan.

The match took place as part of the second leg of the UEFA Futsal Championship playoffs in the Slovak city of Trnava.

AFFA said the preparation and placement of the caricature weren’t agreed on.
