Farewell to futsal trio

Alex, Marcelinho and Cristiano are out of contract with Sporting and will be leaving Alvalade after some brilliant years of service with the Club.

European champion with the Belgian side Action 21, Alex arrived at Alvalade in 2007/08 and has won a total of four National Championships, three Portuguese Cups and four Super Cups.

Marcelinho, who first attracted attention in Portugal at Belenenses, arrived at Sporting in 2010, going on to win three National Championships, two Portuguese Cups and two Super Cups.

Cristiano booked in at Alvalade back in 2003 from Forte de Casa (spending 2005/06 out on loan to Belenenses) and has five National Championships, three Portuguese Cups and four Super Cups to his name.

Sporting would like to thank all three players for their dedication to the Club and to wish them the best of personal and professional success.
