Archil Bokeria breaks Georgian goalscoring record

The Georgian Futsal National Championships have ended. The new champion, Telasi (Tbilisi), earned the right to represent Georgian futsal in the 2015/2016 UEFA Futsal Cup by winning the title.

Beka Kvitsiani will lead the team next year in Europe's premier competition.

The top scorer of the national championship is now Archil Bokeria with 105 goals. It was an improvement on the sweeper/pivot's previous record of 104 goals.

Telasi coach Avtandil Asatiani who was previously the Georgian National Futsal Team Head Coach where he had fantastic results (vs Portugal 4:2, vs Azerbaijan 2:1, Belarus 5:4) said "The championship was very successful for us, winning all matches with big margins. Preparation for the Uefa Futsal Cup has already begun and we will play a tournament soon. I want to say thanks to the Telasi staff, led by Mr. Akaki Gvalia. I think everything will go smoothly in the UEFA Futsal Cup." Additionaly, Mr. Asatiani has experience in the UEFA Fuftsal Cup as Head Coach of Hibernians (Malta).

The Maltese champions recorded their first points in this prestigious tournament.
