An Interview With Anel Radmilovic

Futsal Euro 2016 qualifying round in only four days away, when our best team will play its first match against Netherlands. Today we talk with prominent young player Anel Radmilovic from Centar, Sarajevo.

"In the beginning I played only in tournaments and the first club I played for was Tango, and so my career began. I play for Centar today. We had many gatherings and training sessions for this tournament, and I think coach Matan chose the players to represent us pretty well. We have many young players who will be the backbone of our team in the future, but should also help us fight for Euro. "

On qualifying group 1 he says: "It's a tough group with Russia as the best team. We've played with Netherlands last time and unfortunately lost in play-offs, but now we have a chance for a rematch. I'm sure we can do good in front of our fans and supporters. Playing for our national team is the highlight of my career. To represent my country is a big deal for me. When I hear the anthem, my heart starts pounding and then I'm ready to give my best for my country."

He commented on local futsal championship: "Futsal Premier League is really good and exciting. Five teams compete for the very top, and it's winning precious points is not easy. Futsal has improved immensely in our country since unified competition has been established."
