AGLA & The Hereos of the TRICOLOR (1)

The conquest of the Scudetto in futsal by the WOLVES was a victory for the whole of the Veneto region. The head of the biacazzurro, STEFANO ZARATTINI celebrated the national title alongside the governor of Veneto, Luca Zaia. He complemented the team on their result and posed with an official LUPARENSE shirt and AGLA ball. The governor expressed his approval at putting the logo of the Veneto region on next season’s official Luparense shirt to promote, throughout Italy in Serie A, and especially in Europe, in the UEFA Futsal Cup, the symbol of Veneto.

Meanwhile, the key protagonists, including the six ENDORSED by AGLA, are enjoying a well-earned rest. For them it was a season to remember by claiming the Supercoppa, the European Championship with the national team and now the Scudetto.

Team captain, HUMBERTO HONORIO, said “It was fantastic because we were not considered to be among the favourites. We started behind Asti, Acqua & Sapone and some gave us and Lazio a chance. We played well straight away, eliminating Rieti. With Asti it was a very difficult series. In Game 2 we had a big challenge in front us. Our virtue was not to get nervous, stay focused and stay in the game when we were losing by 2 goals. To our credit we always remained close to our opponents. We exploited the fly goalkeeper tactic, with continued success against Acqua & Sapone in Game 3. We always believed in our capability to win the championship because we are an experienced side. Nora and Bertoni have played five consecutive Championship Finals, with Luparense having played three. The experience has made the difference in the most decisive moments. Finishing with the Scudetto victory has ended a magical season, after the birth of my second daughter and winning the European Championship.”

Goalkeeper DAVIDE PUTANO gave his views; “Another year has ended in the best way. However, during the season we faced some difficulties, especially in those periods where the results did not arrive. This can affect the morale and, in fact, we finish fourth place in the regular season, although this does not have much significance because the Scudetto winner almost never comes first. The squad was united, strong and experienced and this was decisive. If we add the titles won by Honorio, Bertoni, Canal and Nora they would not fit in a huge cabinet. Also Taborda, who still hadn’t won anything in Italy but had racked up lots of appearances for the Argentine national team. Now I am enjoying this great victory, but we must look forward to help the futsal movement which requires strong people.”

The rookie WALTINHO commented “I still can’t believe I am a champion of Italy. It has been a great year where I had various difficulties including the absence of my wife who was forced to return to Brazil and defeats in the Coppa Italia and Winter Cup. This Tricolor has made me very happy. We always believed we could do it. The team was incredible. We never gave up in any situation. I would like to stay to play in Europe with Luparense. Now I’ll have a little holiday. I’ll go back to Brazil and watch the football World Cup.”

BOLA FUTSAL OFFICIAL is the result of a partnership between Italian futsal and AGLA. It has a controlled bounce, is made of PU (polyurethane) and is available the approved sizes 3 and 3+, produced specifically for youth players.
