AGLA & MONTESILVANO’s Double

Winning! This season, in the sports vocabulary of Montesilvano there was only one word written. The Abruzzo club has claimed the double of league championship and Italian Cup ("This was the only possible thing we could do.” joked their director Gabriele Di Berardino ) with 25 wins from the same amount of game. It is recognition for the work done by Montesilvano’s management, coaching staff and players; but also to the commitment of AGLA that has been kit supplier for five years to the Abruzzo club. Montesilvano has dominated Group C of Serie B, then won the national trophy in Policoro . A club of quality, a company, in AGLA , of quality.

Di Berardino, did you expect this outcome?

"Certainly we were prepared to fight to claim the championship. As many clubs from A and A1 dropped out the league due to financial reasons there were many excellent players available to join ambitious clubs. Anyway we achieved victory without any problems. The cup was more difficult. In the end we had to face Arzignano, an extremely competitive team that was further reinforced with the arrival of Scandolara that only last year were fighting in Serie A with Bologna Kaos. In addition, we knew that our team had great potential but there was the uncertainty because we had many young players, for example Giansante Pieragostino. However, they performed very well and were ready on every occasion when they were called into question even in the most difficult situations. They deserve a big round of applause because they had to change between the first team and the youth team. At the end of the season we are have a successful record of twenty wins in twenty in the league and five out of five in the Italian Cup. "

What was the most difficult moment?

"In the league there weren’t any. In the Italian Cup, surely the semi-final against Villafranca. We faced a team that for the whole forty minutes stuck with the fly goalkeeper, with overlapping and exchange of positions between the players. The game looked like it would finish in a tie. Luckly we took the lead and they were forced to chase the game and make errors."

The future?

"At the moment we will enjoy the victory in the championship and the Italian Cup with a dinner together. At the management level , we expect to know what the future holds once the federation decides whether to revolutionise the championships. We hope to start the same way we did last season when we had some problems because the league organisers dropped us to the lowest division.”

What is your opinion on the AGLA clothing and kit?

"We have reached the fifth year of the collaboration and I can vouch that it is getting better all the time. With Amedeo (Infriccioli, CEO of AGLA) we have a great partnership. We have to thank him because he was always responsive to our requests to improve the products and the brand has continuously been available in this way. I can say that we have the most beautiful kit of all Italian futsal clubs. We use the BOLA FUTSAL OFFICIAL and we love it. The guys have told us that is an excellent product, a soft ball. For the shoes each has their own opinion because their preference is personal.”
