Played at the Bamrasnaruda Institute sports gymnasium in Bangkok, the match was both side’s fifth match of the Futsal Thailand Premier League 2014 season.
Phuket drew first blood when only 30 seconds after kickoff, Kittipong Sonsuwan scored from the top of the area.
The Andaman Pearl’s lead was doubled in the 9th minute of regulation by a beautiful strike from Thanakorn Penpakul.
Confidence high, Phuket charged ahead with another goal, four minutes later, Kittipong scoring his second of the match.
But only two minutes later, Pla-teen Ra-rerng or the “Cheerful Mudskippers” struck back with a goal by Sittichai Prasongsin.
No more goals were scored in the remainder of the half, but only the home team would have any more glory in the second half.
Ekasit Kaokongmuang scored two goals in the 32nd and the winner in the 33rd minute, while the equalizer was scored by Thanaphon Punwiset.
Phuket will now return home to prepare for their next fixture, this Sunday (March 9) against unbeaten Siam Navy, who currently sit second in the FTPL, just behind Chonburi.
The match, to be played at Saphan Hin’s indoor gymnasium, kicks off at 7pm.
