Futsal team in Soccer AM Cup

BCFC Futsal are taking part in the next round of the Soccer AM Cup today, facing Leeds United, Wolves and Port Vale.

This stage, which sees the final 32 teams split into eight groups of four, started on January 21 and with all of the games being played at the Birmingham Futsal Arena.

The education department at the Trust still have places remaining on their education courses at starting September 2014.

There will be an education open evening at Bristol City Football Club, Ashton Gate Stadium in the AMC lounge on Monday 10th February at 7pm.

The Trust currently run a BTEC level 3 Extended Diploma In Sport, a Level 2 Diploma in Football Coaching in Community Settings and a Foundation Degree in Community coaching and Development.

Within the BTEC Level 3 course you get to represent Bristol City in a 5-a-side Futsal league and get to play against other Football League clubs such as West Bromwich Albion, Cardiff, Wolverhampton Wanders and many more. You will also study at Ashton Gate Stadium and receive ‘Outstanding’ teaching and coaching by highly qualified and experienced tutors. You do not need to be the best players to get n to the course.

In the Level 2 Diploma you get to represent Bridgewater College in 11-a-side football in the National Colleges League. This course is more practical based as you will spend a lot of time coaching your peers. You also get the opportunity to gain qualifications in new and exciting sports. This includes Introduction to Coaching Futsal, Coaching Disabled Footballers and many more.

Our Foundation Degree in Community Football Coaching and Development course offers players and coaches above the age of 18 the chance to combine academic studies with a practical football coaching experience and is run in partnership with the University of South wales.

As part of the course you gain your C & B football coaching licenses while carrying out work based learning at Bristol City Football Club with the community team.
