FA invite school teachers for coaching/refereeing course

by Qondile Shongwe

SOCCER - THE National Football Association (FA) have invited school teachers to a Futsal coaching and refereeing course.

The course is scheduled for January 15-20 at the Technical Centre in Lobamba. Interviewed yesterday, Technical Director Boy ‘Bizzah’ Mkhonta said the course would accommodate coaches and referees from all the different zones active in the sport.

“We do invite teachers to undergo a coaching and refereeing course on Futsal. This is meant to widen the base of officials active in the sport. The course is however open to others interested in knowing more about the indoor game,” he said.

He further stated that the course would educate teachers on how to train players for Futsal and also enhance the skills of those interested in coaching or refereeing.

We do urge many to take up the refereeing part of it as it is an essential part of the game,” he said. He said the course would be conducted by a number of instructors including the TD, former coach Obed ‘Foreman’ Mlotsa and coaching instructor Anthony Mdluli. The five zones active in Futsal are Mbabane, Manzini, Lobamba, Siteki and Sandleni.
