The 4th Women's World Cup, held in Spain, will begin on Saturday 14th December 2014. The nations competing include Spain, Brazil, Portugal, Russia, Iran, Japan, Ukraine, Costa Rica and Malaysia.

Brazil have won all three previous editions with Portugal and Spain occupying the 2nd and 3rd positions. The tournament was due to be held in Venezuela next year but due to travel problems Spain took over the hosting of the event. The tournament will be played between 14th and 20th December.
