Spain will host the 4th Women's Futsal World Cup after replacing original hosts Venezuela. The tournament will take place between 13th and 20th December.

There will be two groups; Group A with Spain, Portugal, Japan and Costa Rica, and Group B with Brazil, Iran, Russia and Ukraine. The top two from each group will proceed to the semi-finals.

Brazil have won the previous two editions with Spain and Portugal taking the other podium places. They are also the 3 countries that have hosted the competition since the first edition in Spain in 2010.
