Qadsiya bounce back in dominant fashion

Al Sadd outclass Sport Colonial

Dabiri Tabriz (IRA) 3-11 Qadsia (KUW)
Sport Colonial (PAR) 2-4 Al-Sadd (QAT)

Rafeal Novaes’ four goals and Rafeal Soua’s hat-trick powered Kuwait’s Qadsiya Sporting Club ahead as they routed Dabiri Tabriz of Iran 11-3 in the first of group C second round matches of the ongoing Kuwait Mini World Futsal Club Tournament 2013 Tuesday in Adailiya.

Tiago Igntiuk drew first blood for Qadsiya in the first minute. He scored again in the 21st minute. And then came Marcia Gomes’ goal scored in the seventh minute as the Brazilian taped the ball gently past Tabriz’s keeper Vahid Seifan into the net after receiving a free kick from Martins.

Soua’s first goal came in the thirteenth minute after he put the final touch to the ball in a goal mouth melee to hand his side the 3-0 lead. He scored again in fifteenth and twenty fifth minutes. Other Qadsiya players on the score sheet included Gabriel Martins whose goal came in the 28th minute and Novaes whose four goals came in the 29th, 30th, 37th and finally 39th minute to complete the route.

Tabriz’s Rashid Gaulipuur pulled back one goal for his side in the 23rd minute to make the scores at that point 5-1. Captain Vahid Shamsaee in the 26th minute squandered an opportunity to lower the deficit further when he missed a spot kick. Shamsaee and Mehran Rezapour scored the remaining two of Tabriz’s goals as the Iranian champions battled tooth and nail to no avail. They were simply outperformed by the Brazilians.

The player line up assembled by the Qadsiya team, even though unchanged were a different side from that witnessed by spectators in their last match as they conceded defeat 1-2 to Sport Colonial of Paraguay. The all-Brazilian line up of Qadsiya, the reigning futsal champions of Kuwait, was simply amazing in their performance as they outperformed the Iranian side, winning almost all the fifty-fifty challenges.

The win against the Iranians puts them firmly in second place on the league table and still leaves them in contention with 3 points and a comfortable goal difference of 7 below Al Sadd club of Qatar.

On the other hand, Qatar’s Al Sadd Club outclassed Sport Colonial of Paraguay running away with a 4-2 win in the second game of the day. Mohammed Ismail put the Qataris ahead in the second minute after kickoff. Al Sadd managed to defend the single goal till end of first half.

The second half saw both sides angle for the win with Rodrigo Da Rocha scoring the second goal to widen their advantage at 2-0.
But the resilient Paraguayans worked their way into the Al Sadd vital area with Magno Silva scoring two goals in quick succession in the 22nd and 23rd minutes to equalize the scores at 2-2. Jorge Ortiz squeezed in a third goal for Al Sadd in the 37th minute and with just seconds left on the clock Rodrigo Pereira taped in a loose ball to cement Al Sadd’s win at 4-2. The Qatari club now tops the group C league table with four points.
