The Tigers have made the move to bring in futsal star Luciana De Martin Silva to help coach the Gloucester Futsal Revolution side.
A top player in her native brazil for more than 15 years, Luciana is a former World Student Games champion and two-time Minas Gerais State Futsal League winner.
Since moving to England Luciana has claimed more futsal silverware as part of the Team Bath side that won the FA Futsal Cup in 2010.
She is now based at Hartpury College where she lectures in sports coaching and was involved in the formation of the women's futsal team last season.
And it was through her work with the college team that Jim Hart, the manager of the Gloucester Futsal Revolution, became aware of her and made his move.
"This is huge coup for us as a club, we are delighted to have a coach of such experience with such a futsal playing pedigree," Hart said.
"We think we have the right blend of players and coaches on board now to really play well in the forthcoming season.
"I met Luciana through Paul Tassell at Hartpury and when we met we chatted for two hours about futsal, the Gloucester Futsal Revolution and our team in the national leagues.
"I explained that my ambition is to build a sustainable National League Division One Futsal Club to represent both the city and the club.
"Luciana explained that she had a great passion for the game, and shared my ambition to create a club that can remain part of big leagues."
The Gloucester Futsal Revolution currently play in the National League One Midlands division and will kick off their third season in the National League system on September 29. The Revolution also runs a successful youth set-up with teams at Under-ten, Under-12, Under-14 and Under-16 level.
Proud to be joining the club, Luciana is already looking forward to helping the club prepare for the new season and is proud to be doing her bit to represent her adopted city.
"I am delighted with the opportunity to join Gloucester's coaching team in the National division this season," she said.
"The staff team made me feel very welcome and I am looking forward to making a contribution to developing the Gloucester Futsal Revolution's team and the futsal game in England."
