Kick-off times confirmed for futsal championship

With under a month to go until the opening day of the OFC Futsal Championship Invitational 2013, excitement is building amongst fans and players and their plans can now be confirmed after the announcement of the kick-off times for each match.

The action-packed schedule will see four games take place on all three days of group play at The Trusts Arena in Auckland, New Zealand, with the kick-offs being 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm.

The semi-finals and play-offs for the other placings will be held at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 8pm on day four while the 3rd/4th play-off and final will take place on day five at 5pm and 8pm respectively.

Five OFC member associations – New Caledonia, New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Tahiti and Vanuatu – are taking part in the tournament and will be joined by two representatives from the Asian Football Confederation, Australia and Malaysia.

Local fans will have more than one team to cheer as a New Zealand Invitational team – made up of stand-out players from the ASB National Futsal League – will join the hosts’ national side, the Futsal Whites, in competing for the title.

Group A features Solomon Islands, New Zealand, New Caledonia and Malaysia while Group B consists of Tahiti, Vanuatu, New Zealand Invitational and Australia.

2pm, Tahiti vs. Vanuatu
4pm, NZ Invitational vs. Australia
6pm, New Caledonia vs. Malaysia
8pm, Solomon Islands vs. New Zealand

Match Day 2 – July 24
2pm, Solomon Islands vs. New Caledonia
4pm, Tahiti vs. NZ Invitational
6pm, Australia vs. Vanuatu
8pm, Malaysia vs. New Zealand

Match Day 3 – July 25
2pm, Vanuatu vs. NZ Invitational
4pm, Australia vs. Tahiti
6pm, New Zealand vs. New Caledonia
8pm, Malaysia vs. Solomon Islands

Match Day 4 – July 26
1pm, Group A – 4th place vs. Group B – 4th place
3pm, Group A – 3rd place vs. Group B – 3rd place
5pm, Group A – 1st place vs. Group B – 2nd place
8pm, Group B – 1st place vs. Group A – 2nd place
