Hemel TodayDacorum trio ready to battle it out at futsal extravaganzaThree boys from Dacorum will be representing London at the National Youth Futsal Finals in Birmingham on Saturday.
The trio are part of the Escolla U10 squad that qualified for the finals after a series of excellent display in the county and regional qualifiers.
Harry McHugh, Sam Pratt and Joe Hubbard will head to Birmingham with the Escolla coaches – looking to return home with the trophy at the FA’s annual youth futsal showcase event.
Escolla coach Matt Reveley was full of praise for the Dacorum trio and believes they will learn a lot from their visit to Birmingham.
“We’re very proud of all the boys that we work with and Harry, Sam and Joe will hopefully have a brilliant experience,” he said.
“Played by the likes of Messi, Iniesta, Coutinho and Neymar, Futsal provides the foundation for football in Brazil and is played daily in Spanish primary schools.
“At Escolla we believe it could make a huge impact in the development of players in this country.
“Played inside on a fast-paced court with a heavily weighted ball and to a four-second restart rule, futsal promotes quick thinking, game intelligence and mastery of the ball.”
