Boro vs Bath previewMiddlesbrough host Midlands champions Team Bath in the final home game of the season on Sunday at Thornaby Pavilion, kicking off at 2pm and are hoping to build on their impressive start to the Super League that sees them sit top of the group at the half way stage.
Buoyed by an impressive crowd against London United, Boro won 5-4 against the southerners giving them the edge in the group of 4 and on Sunday a win would put them within touching distance of a place in the semi finals.
"We're in this to win and we are peaking at the right time of the season. We had a slow start and gave a lot of young players a chance in the first team and we were always aiming to hit form for the Super League. The whole squad has been fantastic and worked so hard to improve themselves for the challenge of playing the best teams from England and so far they've done it well," commented Damon Shaw.
"The next challenge is to qualify for the UEFA Futsal Cup [Champions' League] and I believe this team has the ability to do that. Sunday will be another challenge for them against a Bath side who have one last chance to rescue their season. They'll be giving everything as defeat would leave them unable to catch Boro. However, they will need to be on top of their game if they are to come to Boro and get a result, we're ready for them and ready to put a foot in the Grand Finals."
Tickets for the game are £4 adults and £2 kids, with doors opening at 12 noon for an exhibition game featuring Boro's under-11s.
