No doubts, the Intercontinental Futsal Cup is a tournament which keep on failing to take off, but at least is still alive if we take into account the disappearance of other events. After the last challenge played in Carlos Barbosa, get ready for the "exotic" edition. Unexpected but true: the North Carolina's city of Greensboro will host the 2013 six clubs tournament on late June (28,29 and 30 according to US media, 27-30 as stated by the ACBF press, 26/6-3/7 according to some previous reports).

Holders Carlos Barbosa will try to revalidate their 2012 title (click here to relive it!) in the prestigious Greensboro Coliseum Complex (23.500 seating capacity) against top clubs like the Liga Futsal 2012 winners Intelli Orlandia, spanish side ElPozo Murcia which will replace the UEFA Futsal Cup winners Barcelona (not taking part for "club reasons", whatever this means), european runners up Dinamo Moscow, argentinean giants Boca Juniors. Last but not least, the six club should be a CONCACAF representative, probably coming from Mexico. So: no Africa, no Asia, no Oceania sides.

The organizing body of the event is a private company, USA Futsal, which according to our info could probably be more spanish than american, but we will try to know more!

The challenge will be composed of two groups of three teams each. Both groups winners will play the final match for the worldwide title.
