Wales defeated in close encounter with England

The Wales Futsal team lost 1-0 to England at Hereford (Sunday).
Although a defeat, the squad can take great satisfaction from the performance against a side with much greater experience in this style of football. The only goal of the game came in the first half, which was an even affair. In the second spell Wales pressed well and went close to an equaliser. In the Welsh goal, Dafydd Jones was outstanding.
The game was only the sixth official international played by the squad - all this season - and all the signs are that they are learning fast, which will be a great bonus for the tournaments ahead.
