Liverpool County FA organiser, Wayne Wardle, commented: “Prior to this season there have been few opportunities for girls aged 16-19 who attend the regions colleges or schools to play football against each other.
“Events like this provide girls with the opportunity to play different formats of football against their peers in an informal and fun setting. The next stage of this project will be a monthly league for eight teams.”
ANY girls wishing to play football should contact LCFA women & girls officer Anna Farrell on 0151-523 4488 (ext 112) or send an email to anna.farrell@liverpoolfa.com
