Safar Tony's sensational rainbow flick rivals Falcao for best futsal goal of 2012
by Paul Bailey
Futsal fever is spreading quickly around the world after Brazilian superstar Falcao's incredible spinning back-heel and lobbed free-kick in an exhibition match went viral earlier this week.
The 35-year-old, widely regarded as the best futsal player of his generation, has regularly scored breathtaking goals throughout his career, with 339 goals in just 201 appearances for the Brazil national team.
However, Falcao's latest entry for goal of the year has a new rival in the form of Safar Tony - a player from Hungarian side Dunakeszi Kinizsi, who produced another mesmerising piece of skill in a Futsal Magyar Cup match against Vasas.
Receiving the ball just outside the box, the number 22 twice rolls his foot over the ball before producing a sensational rainbow flick over the head of the helpless Vasas goalkeeper.
The stunning effort really must be seen to be believed, and as the debate of which goal is better - Tony's (above) or Falcao's (below) - GiveMeFootball is giving you the opportunity to compare two of the most inventive futsal strikes you are ever likely to see, and leave a comment below.
