The ‘Bronze’ of Agla - Stefano Mammarella

Italy finished in third place at the recent Futsal World Cup in Thailand is in itself a satisfactory performance (they lost in the semi-finals 4-1 to Spain with a momentorary equaliser from Merlin and won the third place playoff match 3-0 against the surprise team of the tournament, Colombia. The goals were scored by AGLA PLAYER RODOLFO FORTINO who got a couple and one by Romano). However to make the Asian adventure a little more special was the fact that the winner of the Golden Glove, the best goalkeeper of the tournament, was AGLA SPONSORED STEFANO MAMMARELLA.

STEFANO, who do you dedicate this award to?
“My wife Manuela, my son Mattia and my family and friends who have followed my adventure in Thailand”.

What is your personal impression of the World Cup?
This is the first time I participated in this competition and it was a fantastic experience. It was great to stay in the hotel and see players of so many different nationalities. There are other aspects that make you realise the level of the tournament is very high. FIFA organised everything correctly. When we went to the hall to train each team has strictly 1 hour for training.

What is your opinion on Italy’s result?
We played a good World Cup and finished behind only Brazil and Spain who are still better than we are. I think overall it was a good result. We scored a lot of goals but perhaps against Portugal and Spain we suffered too much.

What are Italy missing to compete with Brazil and Spain?
Four years of hard work in technical and mental aspects. Especially the mental because in these competitions you play so often it is difficult to always be 100% mentally.

Any regrets?
Losing the semi-final to a few bad moments, though Spain has been superior.

Did the best team win?
There were two teams at an equal level and eventually the most deserving triumphed.

Who was the surprise team?
Colombia. Actually I thought they could do well. At the World Cup the experts said a lot about the aspects of this team and their views were verified.

Who was the best player, not including Italians?
I’d say Ricardinho and Cardinal of Portugal.

How did your AGLA shoes perform at the World Cup?
Very well. I personalised them with blue laces in honor of the national team.

Looking to the future. With the brand new AGLA ONE 2012, renamed “THE ONLY ONE”, AGLA has created a professional product using the latest technology. A futuristic shoe, not only in design but also in the materials used. As always the Research & Development department has utilised the advice from university research studies while AGLA’s designers have created another masterpiece. A shoe that is perfect for futsal.

Analysing the technical features we should highlight the uniqueness of the AGLA ONE 2012. Marche has added the AGLA 5-PAD on the bottom of each shoe to ensure it gives the maximum transpiration of the foot

AGLA ONE 2012 has THE NEW ANTI-SHOCK SYSTEM in the heel to prevent injuries.

The sole is made of a natural BIO-DENSITY rubber which gives grip in all game situations. It ensures maximum grip is available on all surfaces.

The soft upper uses the SLIM SYSTEM and is an optimal mix of various materials such as canvas and polyurethane reinforcements for maximum grip, increased comfort and great durability, requirements for this sport.

The insole is both ANATOMICAL in shape and REMOVABLE.

The ANATOMICAL shape maximises the grip available to the foot.

Finally there is a protective element on the toe for precise and powerful shooting, a unique requirement for the futsal shoe.

This masterpiece of technology and innovation could not be complete without a touch of FLAIR. Each box provides two laces of different colours to give a customisable touch for the player.

To conclude, the AGLA ONE 2012 is a high-performance shoe. It is designed for serious players and professionals and is suitable for all game situations, especially in performing quick changes of direction.
