Monday is the day, 14.30 (portuguese time) is when the dream will come true. First ever appearance for the Costa Rican girls in a women world cup, and second cap for a CONCACAF representative after the unlucky guatemalan experience in the first ever World Cup 2010 in Spain.

Ukraine is therefore the first rival for the Carlos Alberto Sotela Leiva players, who will then try to make their best against Russia, Malaysia and Spain in what seems to be a very hard challenge, at least on paper.

Appointed on September 21st, Carlos Sotela is leading the first ever women national team of Costa Rica, in collaboration with his assistant Sugey Arias who works in the national league as head coach of one of the most represented clubs in the costarricense roster: Alajuela Futsal, recent winner of the Liga Premier de Futsal Femenina over Santo Domingo UCR.
