Futsal trials go statewide

KUCHING: In preparation for the 15th edition of the Malaysia Games (Sukma) in 2013, the state futsal team will be conducting selection process here this coming Nov 24-25.

According to head coach Mohammad Mantali, the trials will be conducted at the Kuching Integrated Recreation Centre (KIRC), near Kuching Civic Centre. He added that for the girl’s team, the selection process will be conducted on Dec 8-9.

“We are definitely looking for players who posses the required skills and ability. For those who are interested, please find your way to the Kuching Civic Centre and register yourself on the same day of the trials,” said Mohammad Mantali.

Mohammad Mantai added that registration for the trials opens from 8.30am. All players who are under 21-years-old are welcome to attend the trials.

“We hope that those who are interested can come early. This is because the players will have to go through a few physical and skills test on that day,” he commented.

At the end of the interview, Mohammad Mantali added that the Sarawak State Sports Council (MSNS) will also conduct state-wide futsal trials.

Other locations of the trials are as follows: Lawas (from Dec 14 to Dec 15), Miri (from Dec 16 to Dec 17), Mukah (from Dec 27 to Dec 28), Sibu (from Dec 29 to Dec 30), Kapit (Jan 11 to Jan 12, 2013), Sarikei (Jan 13 to Jan 14, 2013), Bintulu (Jan 19 to Jan 20, 2013), Sri Aman (Jan 25 to Jan 26, 2013) and Betong (Jan 27 to Jan 28, 2013).
