Ballinrobe take Mayo Boys FAI Futsal title

The Mayo Boys FAI 1st Year Secondary Schools Futsal took place in Davitt College, Castlebar with 8 Schools taking part - Rice College Westport, Sancta Maria Louisburgh, St Louis Kiltimagh, Ballinrobe Community School, Davitt College Castlebar, St Muredach's Ballina, St Patrick's College, Lacken Cross and Colaiste Acla Achill.
The event was split into two groups of four with the top two in each group qualifying for the Semi finals. High quality qualifying group games brought about two excellent semi-finals - Ballinrobe versus St Muredachs, and St Louis versus Rice College. Ballinrobe and St Louis Kiltimagh were the eventual winners of the semi-finals after two excellent games.

So Ballinrobe were now to play St Louis Kiltimagh in the final. There was nothing between the teams as the game finished two goals each - after extra time - meaning that dreaded penalties were needed. Ballinrobe came out eventual winners after the titanic struggle.

Ballinrobe will now go on to represent Mayo in the Connacht Finals on Monday 19th November in Sligo IT.
