The Borneo PostTeam Kadico win Kapit Resident challenge cup futsalNovember 16, 2012, FridayKAPIT: Team Kadico emerged victorious in men’s category of the recent Resident of Kapit challenge cup futsal championship held at Bletih Stadium while PSKPP team won the ladies’ category.
The men’s top scorer award was bagged by Mohd Lofti Bahrom of PSKPP while Christina Anthony Belikau also from PSKPP was the ladies’ top scorer.
Kapit’s Superintendent of Land and Survey, Norlina Ra’ee and Kapit Civic Centre general manager, Wilfred Billy Panyau were also judged as the most sporting head of departments for lady and men category in the event.
Twenty teams competed in the men category with PSKPP finishing second and Perkep bagged third placing.
Resident of Kapit, Dahim Nadot who is also chairman Maksak Kapit gave away the prizes at the closing ceremony which was attended by the heads of government departments and the participating teams.
The champion received RM500, challenge trophy, medals and certificates of participation while the second prize winner walked home RM400 and the third prizes was RM300.
In his speech Dahim commended the organising committee led by chairman, Mohd Hatta of JPJ for a job well done in staging the event which received overwhelming response.
Present together were deputy Resident (social development) Mohd Ikhmal Abdullah, Song District Officer, Galong Luang administrative officer, Mohd Nizzam and Selmah Apang, Superintendent Land and Survey Kapit, Norlina Ra’ee among the players and invited guests at the multi-purpose hall last night.
