Tan Holdings FC recorded the biggest win in Division B matches in the 2012 NMIFA Women's Futsal Fall League last Monday after stunning the then undefeated Matansa FC, 3-1, at the TSL Sports Complex.

The victory was only the first for Tan Holdings, which had already dropped four matches and earned one draw to laze at the bottom half of the nine-team field. Matansa, on the other hand, is at the top of the team standings, winning its first five matches before falling prey to the upset axe of Tan Holdings. Matansa still occupies the No. 1 spot in Division B, but leads by only one win against two other squads.

Matansa failed to extend its run after only Maile Aldrich scored against Tan Holdings. Aldrich's goal only came in the second half, which started with Tan Holdings enjoying a 3-0 advantage.

Elizabeth Phan gave Tan Holdings an early goal, as she found the back of the net just 16 seconds into the game. Chloe Salvosa then made it a 2-0 count off her goal in the fourth minute, while Mary Kay Alferos stretched the lead further with a goal nine minutes before the first 25 minutes of play elapsed. Maile then gave Matansa some hope with a her goal two minutes into the second half, but Tan Holdings hung tough on defense in the remaining minutes to secure the upset.

IFC-2 6, MP United-2 1
Independents FC-2 also gained its first win after losing four and drawing one, following its demolition of MP United 2.

Windy Orcine paced IFC-2 with her pair of goals, while Vanessa Gramlich, Coquina Teregeyo, Jazmin Rayphand, and Melanie Nakamura logged one goal apiece. Gramlich lit up the scoreboard for IFC-2 in the opening minute, while MP United also scored early with Rosalie Litulimar's goal in the second minute.

Orcine then broke the deadlock with her back-to-back goals in a span of two minutes (13th and 15th), while Teregeyo also contributed in IFC-2's cause with a goal just 13 seconds before the first half ended.

Rayphand and Nakamura completed IFC-2's dominance of MP United-2 after scoring in the 31st and 33rd.

Shirley's FC 7, Paire 5
Diana Maniacop, Reylynn Sapong, and Glorily Williams joined forces to help Shirley's FC survive the explosive game of Paire's Guinevere Borja.

Borja drilled all of Paire's five goals, but they were offset by the two goals apiece of Sapong, Maniacop, and Williams. Charizama Aragon nailed the other goal for Shirley's.

Maniacop and Sapong gave Shirley's two goals in less than a minute, scoring at the 2:20 and 2:57 marks, respectively, and recorded their second goal a few minutes later (3:20 and 5:30) before Williams joined the spree with her first goal in the 10th minute.

Borja finally put Paire in the board in the 11th minute and got her second goal in the 16th to keep her team in contention. Borja was still unstoppable in the second half, but obviously needed the help of her teammates to bail out Paire, but got none. Shirley's received some, as Williams scored anew in the 32nd minute and Aragon followed suit three minutes later.
