Kairat futsal club enter Group B of UEFA Cup

Almaty-based Futsal Club Kairat due to the fourth place in the UEFA rating was in the penultimate stage of the UEFA Cup.

As a result of the draw, Kazakhstan’s futsal team got into Group B, which will be played at Ekonomac in Serbia. The other two teams in the group are Slov-Matic of Slovakia and Chrudim of the Czech Republic.

Only the top-placed team in the group will advance to the next round. Kairat is to travel to Serbia on October 7 for their elite round matches. Also at the press conference, Kairat introduced their new player Brazilian Joan dos Santos Nunes.

Kairat ORAZBEKOV, PRESIDENT, FUTSAL CLUB KAIRAT:
- The team should go up to a professional level and play in the Final Four within five years. This year is the fifth year. As we promised, this year the team has approached to the maximum peak and the team is one hundred percent ready to work at the level of the elite round and the Final Four.
