From the "portuguese dreams" to the Moscow misery

CSKA Moscow
by Luca Ranocchiari - Futsalplanet.com editor

It may sounds weird, but it's not the first time, not at all. Just twelve months ago CSKA Moscow seemed to be on the verge to conquer the futsal world, through the signing of Ricardinho, Cardinal, Divanei and featuring others local stars like Maevsky or Sergeev just to mention two of them.

Things are quite changed now, in an unexpected and shocking way. On August 16th the management staff of CSKA Futsal announced their decision to withdraw from the Russian Superleague 2012/2013 due to the hard financial situation of the club. The CSKA's activity won't end anyway, as they will go on in the local Moscow lower competition as well as in the youth selections, in the aim to come back in Superleague in 3 years.
