Sarikei sending two teams to futsal tournament

SARIKEI: P.208 Sarikei is sending a ladies’ and a men’s team to participate in the National-Level `1 Belia 1 Malaysia’ futsal championship to be held in Putra Jaya from January 20 to 22.

Yesterday, they received the State flag from Sarikei Member of Parliament, Ding Kuong Hiing in a simple ceremony held at Social Development Complex here.

On hand to receive the flag and a contribution of RM2,000 from Ding were men’s team manager Zulhajiji Muda and ladies’ team manager Ali Daud.

Also present during the ceremony was divisional Youth and Sports Officer Noim Lanjis.
