Futsal players urged to promote Kapit

KAPIT: MP for Kapit Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi has advised futsal players representing P 215 Kapit for the national 1 Belia 1 Malaysia futsal tournament to display high standard of sportsmanship, good discipline and to promote Kapit.

“I am very proud of all of you as last year our ladies’ team was ranked number 14 while the men’s team qualified for the second round of the futsal competition. The standard of the futsal competition is indeed very high because it is a national level tournament and only the best could participate,” said Alexander to the Kapit futsal players and officials during a courtesy call on him.

This year is the second edition of the 1 Belia 1 Malaysia futsal tournament organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia. The tournament will see teams from all parliamentary constituencies across the nation competing for top honours at the 1 Malaysia futsal court in Presint 18, Putrajaya from Jan 20 to 22 .

This futsal tournament is an effort by the Ministry of Youth and Sports to promote active participation by our youth in healthy activities. Each constituency is represented by a men’s and a ladies’ team.

At the function, Alexander handed over personal donation meant as pocket money for the futsal players.
