Kuala Lumpur: Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan have been awarded automatic qualifications to the final round of the AFC Futsal Championship 2012 in UAE.

The AFC Futsal Committee has decided to award them the automatic qualification following the withdrawal of Maldives Republic from the competition which resulted in cancellation of the South and Central Zone Qualifiers of the competition.

The cancelled South and Central Zone had consisted of the three nations and Maldives who were supposed to meet each other on 25-27 November 2011.

The 16-team tournament proper will be held on 12-22 May 2012.
