Brazil hosts Grand Prix de Futsal

The city of Manaus, The Capital of Amazon State is hosting the seventh Futsal grand prix with the participation of teams from 16 countries.

After the ending of the first round of this international tournament on Tuesday; eight teams qualified for the quarterfinals, where they have to win in order to continue at the competition. The losing team will be eliminated.

The teams that will compete for the championship are: Argentina, Czech Republic, Russia, Paraguay, Guatemala, Uruguay, Brazil, the host country and one of the favorite of the tournament Iran, which was the first to qualify for this new phase.

Brazil, Russia and Iran won all matches of the tournament so far. Brazil wants to remain undefeated against Uruguay.

Argentina wants to recuperate from a weak beginning against the neighbor Paraguay.

The very strong Russia team has to play against The Czech Republic and Iran, after a victorious first round, will play against the Central American team of Guatemala.

If Brazil and Iran win these next matches will face one another on Friday and only one of the two could continue on.
